Which Day Early Learning center do you work at?

What age group do you teach?
I am a Center Director.

How long have you worked at Day Early Learning?
I will have worked at Day Early Learning since June 2007.

When did you know you wanted to work with children?
Shortly after graduating high school and beginning work within a child care/early education center.

How do you like to spend your free time?
Camping, bicycling, kayaking, anything in the sun or in nature, listening to live music, spending time with family and friends, visiting local establishments.

What is/was your favorite children’s book?
The Poky Little Puppy and Where the Wild Things Are.

What was the last moment that caused you to stop and remember why you love teaching and working with children?
While spending some one on one time with a child and through our conversation, learning about how his mind is working, how he views the world around him, and identifying the things that interest him.  In sharing this with the family they were thankful for me sharing about our conversation to support some of their goals and things they had not yet recognized about their child

What is your favorite thing about working at DEL?
The collaboration of so many with expertise in various aspects of early childhood education as well as providing positive supports for the community we live and serve in.

What other interesting facts do you want us to know about you?
I have three wonderful children; one tattoo artist, an EMT, and my youngest serving in the U.S. Army.
