Day Nursery children experience Native American culture

 In Uncategorized

Ms. Grace, the cook at our Day Nursery Hendricks County Early Care and Education Center in Avon is Native American with lineage from the Cherokee and Blackfoot people.  Last week, thanks to Ms. Grace, the children of the center got a glimse into the culture of her ancestors including sharing food, dancing and music.

The children enjoyed seeing Ms. Grace and her granddaughters in their handmade traditional cloth dresses

Grace is a wonderful member of the Day Nursery team-(as is Chris, the other cook). I told Grace today how much my daughter enjoyed her presentation. She’s still talking about it!
