Teacher Spotlight: Kaela Dye

Everything we do at Day Early Learning is aimed at nurturing each child’s social, emotional and educational needs. Our ultimate goal is not only to prepare your child for kindergarten, but also to inspire a lifelong learning journey. Well-educated and trained teachers ensure that your child will be in the best hands possible.

Here is your chance to get to know some of our Day Early Learning team members. This week, we highlight Kaela Dye.

Which Day Early Learning center do you work at?
Federal Building.

What age group do you teach?
I teach in all different classrooms, as I am a floating teacher.

How long have you worked at Day Early Learning?
I have been at Day Early Learning for just under a year.

When did you know you wanted to work with children?
When I was in high school I did some community service which involved being around children often. After that, I kind of fell in love with working with them, taking care of them and spending time with them. I have always loved making beautiful memories with them, watching them grow and growing alongside them!

How do you like to spend your free time?
I like to color, play video games and spend time with my dogs and loved ones!

What is/was your favorite children’s book?
My favorite children’s book is anything in The Berenstain Bears series by Jan and Stan Berenstain.

What was the last moment that caused you to stop and remember why you love teaching and working with children?
Lately I’ve been able to work with kids I haven’t worked often, and I really loved getting to know their little quirks and personalities, and develop trust and friendship. These are moments that remind me why I love teaching and working with children.

What is your favorite thing about working at Day Early Learning?
My favorite thing about working at Day Early Learning is having team members who are like family.
