Teacher Spotlight: Kailyn Cox

Everything we do at Day Early Learning is aimed at nurturing each child’s social, emotional and educational needs. Our ultimate goal is not only to prepare your child for kindergarten, but also to inspire a lifelong learning journey. Well-educated and trained teachers ensure that your child will be in the best hands possible.

Here is your chance to get to know some of our Day Early Learning teachers. This week, we highlight Kailyn Cox.

Which Day Early Learning center do you work at?
Patty Jischke Early Care & Education Center.

What age group do you teach?
I am in a preschool classroom.

How long have you worked at Day Early Learning?
We are new center to Day Early Learning but I have worked at this center since 2015.

When did you know you wanted to work with children?
Ever since I was a little kid, I’d set all my stuffed animals up and teach them and read to them!

How do you like to spend your free time?
Hanging out at the lake with my two dogs or spending time with my fiancé, family and friends.

What is/was your favorite children’s book?
I love all of the Dr. Seuss books!

What was the last moment that caused you to stop and remember why you love teaching and working with children?
When a child of mine was struggling with specific skills and seeing them progress and being able to do work independently.  My favorite part of being an educator is being able to help each child reach goals and watch them light up when they’ve accomplished something they didn’t think they could.

What is your favorite thing about working at Day Early Learning?
Day Early Learning is such an amazing and supportive company that puts its employees needs first.

What other interesting facts do you want us to know about you?
I’m getting married in September!
