Make Indy Count

 In News, Uncategorized

Today is Census Day. That’s no joke.  Make Indy Count today by returning your form.

When you fill out the census form, you’re making a statement about what resources our community needs going forward.

Accurate data reflecting changes in your community are crucial in apportioning seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and deciding how more than $400 billion per year is allocated for projects like new hospitals and schools.

That’s more than $4 trillion over a 10-year period for things like new roads and schools, and services like job training centers.

As of 2006, the census data told us that 57 percent of mothers work outside of the home.  Statistics like this help community leaders plan for services needed in our city.

If you need more reasons why, check out the 2010 Census website full of good information.
