Everything we do at Day Early Learning is aimed at nurturing each child’s social, emotional and educational needs. Our ultimate goal is not only to prepare your child for kindergarten, but also to inspire a lifelong learning journey. Well-educated and trained teachers ensure that your child will be in the best hands possible.
Here is your chance to get to know some of our Day Early Learning team members. This week, we highlight Tiffany Mack.
Which Day Early Learning center do you work at?
Fort Harrison.
What age group do you teach?
I teach in the 4 and 5-year-old classrooms.
How long have you worked at Day Early Learning?
I have been at Day Early Learning for just over a year.
When did you know you wanted to work with children?
My child didn’t start reading until 3rd grade, but throughout her time at Day Early Learning, I saw how diligently her teachers worked with her. After all of their intentional help, my daughter was able to read 2 grade levels above her current grade. That is when I realized just how important teaching children was.
How do you like to spend your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy babysitting for mothers that need a sitter, attending Bible study, spending time teaching my nieces & nephews, reading books, listening to music and making candles.
What is/was your favorite children’s book?
My favorite children’s book is Goldilocks & The Three Bears by Robert Southey.
What was the last moment that caused you to stop and remember why you love teaching and working with children?
Today some of the parents at school approached me and thanked me for investing in their child’s learning. That reminded me of why I do this work.
What is your favorite thing about working at Day Early Learning?
The staff are so caring, the children here are amazing and the parents are very supportive. I also love how my director and administrator go the extra mile to help and support teachers here, and they are readily willing to step into the classroom when needed.
